Background
M & N Tax Consultants was founded in 1977 by Woody Mayfield, a local C.P.A. who gave us the ("M" in M & N) and Dan Nielson (the "N"), an Enrolled Agent. Originally located on Bank Street in downtown Grass Valley, the company moved to its present location in 1985.
After several ownership changes, the company was purchased by its present owner, Erin Stuart-Cayot.

Our Team
Erin Stuart-Cayot, Certified Public Accountant
Erin has more than twenty years of experience in business finance, accounting, taxation, and tax consulting. She holds a Masters Degree in Taxation and a Masters Degree in Accounting from San Jose State University. Erin believes in offering her clients excellent service with a broad range of experience including individual, small and medium size corporate and business consulting, accounting services, tax return preparation and estate and trust planning. She has clients in the bay area and the greater Sacramento and Grass Valley region.
Jackson Cayot brings corporate finance experience from positions in planning and budgeting, SEC reporting, Treasury and Division Controller in manufacturing, construction and financial industries. Jackson and Erin have combined their accounting, tax preparation and planning business from La Selva Beach, Ca with their M&N Tax Consultants business in Grass Valley, CA. He provides CFO assistance to small business clients along with tax preparation services for individuals and corporations. Jackson holds a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
Barbara has been our receptionist since 2000. A friend and helper to all our clients, she is the voice of the company.
